Dark reddish brown fabric, consistently fired to pale reddish orange at surface (<1mm). Hard, fine; hackly break. Uncommon, small, poorly sorted, angular white (calcareous?) particles and very rare, tiny, darker bits. NePcf?
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves ca. 28% of lid, including full profile. Soft and powdery surface, extensive erosion with pitting and severe flaking, consistent with marine submersion over a long period; worn breaks.
