Description
Amphora. Spike toe has thickened button at bottom; distinct ring marking lowest part of toe, which is still solid at this point.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Very fine light red fabric with tiny light inclusions; consistently fired. Surface thinly coated with pale slip.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire toe and adjacent wall. Slight, extensive abrasion and frequent pitting; worn breaks; common patches of thick, white to gray encrustation.
