Large bowl. Flaring wall, curved to straight, of variable thickness. Knob rim with flat upper face, slightly rounded outer face, and rounded to concave lower faces. Rim offset from wall by light groove on interior.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Consistently fired red fabric, fine and hard, has frequent very small light bits, some elongated lime; one small void at surface observed. Thin, dull matte slip is very close to fabric though darker over rim and in patches. Fine brush marks and smoothing bands on interior; turning scratches on exterior. Classic LRC.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds (0001+0955) preserve 20% of rim and small part of upper body. Very slight, sparse abrasion otherwise clean breaks; thin, somewhat frequent encrustation in patches.
