Large plate. Knobby rim that is somewhat flattened above and below, with wider underside. Extant wall thickens towards interior with slight ledge or “chamfer” well outside line of foot, ca. 4 cm from rim. Slightly splayed foot with flat resting surface, thickens upward toward wall; two fine grooves on exterior. Broad floor and straight flaring wall.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Granular fabric with only rare, small, angular and rounded, lime inclusions. Thick, even slip darker than fabric on interior, smoothed; thin to reserved on exterior.
Preservation comment
Three sherds (0187a+b/c) preserve 30% of rim and body, and one nonjoining sherd (2133) preserves 25% of base. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion and sparse pitting and scratching; clean breaks; thin to moderate, extensive film of encrustation on rim sherds and severe, extensive encrustationn on base sherd.
