Description
Sloping shoulder. Low, plain rounded rim with rounded outer face. Excess clay across rim and shoulder.
Fabric, firing, surface
Brown with a tinge of red at interior and exterior surfaces (3-5 mm); pale gray core at neck. Hard, slightly coarse; somewhat smooth to vaguely laminar break with slightly smooth surface texture. Rare, tiny, circular black bits; rare, tiny, elongated and irregular, black inclusions (organic) and similar voids. Nile delta.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves 14% of rim and upper shoulder. Slight, sparse abrasion; clean breaks; scattered, thin patches of encrustation.
