Description
Large bowl. Rim has flat upper, slightly rounded outer, and rounded to concave bottom faces; light groove marking rim from wall on interior and sharp offset underneath.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fine, hard, pale reddish fabric with rare, tiny, lime inclusions. Dull, thin slip with brush marks on interior essentially same color as fabric; exterior rim fired to gray has thin matte unsmoothed slip with turning scratches. Classic LRC.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves 10% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight abrasion and chipping but mostly sharp breaks; thick, extensive film of encrustation.
