Large bowl. Blocky, vertical rim with overhanging flange below; bulging on interior; two grooves on outer face. Tooling used a point to make grooves rather than flat tool to make offsets. Straight flaring upper wall.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Red fabric; fine, hard, smooth to slightly granular break. Uncommon, small lime chunks. Orangish red slip, patch of brownish tinge from variable firing around rim; thin, matte with faintly metallic sheen. Thick brush marks on interior. Classic LRC fabric.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 8% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion and chipping especially round edges; worn breaks; slight patches of encrustation.
