- Description
- Large bowl. Curving upper body. Vertical rim, concave outside; pointed lip with inward sloping upper face; short, angular flange with hook under rim. Oblique rouletting demarcated by horizontal groove above and below on outer face of rim.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Light red to faintly purplish fabric, somewhat fine and hard, with few, small, subangular, lime inclusions. Thick smoothed slip on interior, darker red than fabric; exterior turned fully gray by reduction. Classic LRC fabric.
- Preservation comment
- One small fragment preserves 5% of rim and upper body. Slight to moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion and chipping on surface and on edges; slight, extensive encrustation overall.
