Cooking pot. Horizontal rim with pointed lip, flat upper face and rounded underside. Short, vertical neck with concave inside face forming ledge for lid. Rounded upper body. Loop handles, elliptical in section, with two grooves on top.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Grey core and pale red toward surface (3-5mm). Medium coarse, hard; granular to hackly break, with rough surface. Abundant, small to large, angular and subangular, calcareous inclusions, occasionally elongated; present also on all extant surfaces. Interior surface pale red consistent with fabric; exterior and inner rim surface fired grey.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 10% of rim with neck and upper wall and most of one handle. Moderate, extensive abrasion with large chips; worn breaks; scattered patches of encrustation.
