Kenchreai IV RC22e Amphora
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale brown fired slightly more pale at very surface; slight, medium fine fabric; smooth to granular break; vaguely flakey surface; uncommon, mostly well sorted, subrounded and subangular, small inclusions: many lime chunks, rarely larger and more angular; varied dark brown or red and rarely dark gray or blacck bits; specks to small flakes of silvery mica. Southwest Asia Minor.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire toe and small part of lower wall. Slight to moderate, somewhat extensive abrasion with sparse scoring and gouging; worn breaks; discontinuous patches of encrustation.
