Fabric, firing, and surface description
Greyish red core and interior surface fired to brownish red exterior surface (5-8 mm); slightly coarse, hard, with smooth to vaguely hackly break and fine gritty texture; common, tiny mixed bits (white, red, gray) visible throughout and at surface; rare, angular, stoney inclusions; frequent silvery mica. Southwestern Asia Minor but not Ephesian.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire toe. Slight, sparse abrasion and large chips from edge; somewhat worn breaks; rare specks and spicules of encrustation.
