- Description
- Heavy handle with oval section.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Reddish brown, consistently fired; coarse, hard, with granular break and gritty texture; frequent glistening quartz and uncommon, large, reddish chunks; fine to flakey silver mica; very thin wash on surface, very slightly darker than fabric. Southwest Asia Minor but not Ephesian.
- Preservation comment
- One sherd preserves segment from upper handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and rare gouging; somewhat worn breaks; faint clouding of incipient encrustation(?).
