Reddish brown, consistently fired; coarse, hard, with granular break and gritty texture; frequent glistening quartz and uncommon, large, reddish chunks; fine to flakey silver mica; very thin wash on surface, very slightly darker than fabric. Southwest Asia Minor but not Ephesian.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves segment from upper handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and rare gouging; somewhat worn breaks; faint clouding of incipient encrustation(?).
