Wide body (ovoid to globular?) tapers to rim. Plain everted rim with square outer face and slightly concave upper face. everted; slightly concave on top forming ledge for lid; no offset below. Vertical loop handle, irregular oval in section, attaches at rim/upper body.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Exterior: 7.5R 5/6; interior: 5YR 5/4. Brown cooking ware with frequent medium, light, angular, inclusions and other tiny, varied bits also visible at surface; rare medium, dark, angular inclusions. Small voids at surface especially on handle. NePcf. Gray patches on exterior: scorching during use?
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves 9% of rim and small part of upper body. Slight, frequent abrasion and gouging; worn breaks; numerous specks of encrustation.
