Middle Roman Amphora 7
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Orangish red fabric with slightly grayish core; medium coarse, hard, with rough surface and granular break; frequent, irregular, small quartz and reddish chunks (sandstone?). Classic MRA7 fabric.
Preservation comment
One large sherd preserves small part of shoulder and lower attachment of handle. Slight, sparse abrasion and pitting; worn breaks; thin, scattered patches of encrustation.
