Gray core but pale red out to surfaces (5-7 mm); hard, medium coarse, with hackly break; uncommon, tiny black bits; one medium, platy mineral (schistose?).
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves small segment of one handle. Slight to moderate, extensive abrasion and minor scoring; slightly worn breaks; thin, sparse patches of encrustation.
