- Solid spike toe tapers in middle but widens to ball at base.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Reddish yellow, consistently fired. Medium coarse with common, medium, subrounded and subangular, grey and red inclusions, some rocky.
- Preservation comment
- One large fragment preserves entire toe to attachment with body. Severely water-worn: extreme, extensive abrasion and pitting; no visible encrustation or mortar. Collected from beach or underwater in antiquity?
