Orientation of floor fits Zhuravlev Form 1 but not the other shallow plates Forms 2-4.
Description
Shallow plate or dish. Flat to slightly concave floor, with circle of rouletting. Splayed(?) ring foot; underside has fine double grooves. Traces of slip on floor but not on bottom.
Fabric, firing, surface
Brownish gray but scorched. Very hard, fine fabric; smooth break. No visible inclusions: tiny bits? Thin, even, semilustrous slip on floor but not underside. Appears northern Pontic.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves part of floor. Slight, rare scoring; worn breaks; sparse, small patches and spicules of encrustation. Entire sherd discolored gray by secondary burning.
