Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 7.5R 6/1, reddish gray (and somewhat lighter). Slip: near 10YR 3/1, very dark gray. Fine, dense, very hard fabric, consistently fired, with rare flecks of silvery mica. Thin, semiglossy glaze, slightly flakey, covers whole interior and extends down base just onto resting surface.
Preservation comment
One fragment preserves roughly one third of base broken along walls. Slight, somewhat extensive abrasion.
