Description
Popular form of wheelmade lamp from Attica. Sometimes called “Inkwell lamps.“ Low footed base; slightly curved to vertical sides; flat rim slopes slightly inward; elongated nozzle, flat on top with rounded end; flat band handle. Several variants (A, A‘, B, C, C‘, D, E). Thick, even black glaze inside and outside but base often reserved (washed).
