- Orange red (2.5YR 6/6), hard, medium fine, with slightly granular break, contains uncommon, tiny to small, subrounded, white lumps (calcareous?), rare, small, rounded and subrounded, opaque gray chunks (quartzitic?), and other rare, small, subangular or irregular, red pellets (iron oxide?), and rare, elonged, spherical to subrounded, dark gray chunks. Surface has thin, even white skin (from saltwater in production); finely smoothed. Tunisian.
