Lead shimming from columnar joint. Smooth on underwide and rough on top. Spread out from channel (though no such impression survives) so that the edges are thickened and slightly rounded. Two small perforations in line 1.8 cm apart (Diam. 4 mm: nailed?).
One large fragment of irregular shape, bent and curled around edges after recovery (during handling?). Slight film of encrustation and incipient lead degradation across surface..
