Description
This designation refers to the wide central part of Roman North Africa that now contains large parts of modern Algeria, Tunisia, and Libya. It should be considered roughly contiguous with the Augustan province of Africa Proconsularis, and, after Diocletian, with Zeugitana, Byzacena, and Tripolitania in the African diocese.
