Description
Late Hellenistic to Early Roman amphora probably for wine. Narrow cylindrical body tapering to short spike, sharply carinated shoulder, tall cylindrical neck with a small, rounded (“beaded“) rim, and tall, peaked, bifid handles. Made in eastern Aegean (Kos?) and distributed in Aegean and Adriatic regions.
