RW: “This is a rare dated issue from an unknown mint in Asia Minor. The reverse legend extends into the exergual space, as noted by Webb (RIC V.1, p. 184), so that VII C surely stands for “(having been) consul for the 7th time” (= A.D. 266), Gallienus’s last consulate before his death in A.D. 268. But TR P XV, “holding tribunician power for the 15th time,” specifies A.D. 267 as the actual year of issue.“
