Description
Plain base has flaring rim and concave bottom with central button. Conical flaring lower wall.
Fabric, firing, surface
7.5YR 6/6 (light red). Hard, fine fabric consistently fired orangish red has with very few inclusions but rare, small lime and angular black bits; densely micaceous. Surface essentially plain and same color as fabric, though with fine brush marks. Ionian coast: Ephesus-Miletus.
Preservation comment
One sherd preserves entire base and lower wall. Slight, sparse chipping around edges; worn breaks. Slight, extensive film of encrustation.
