Material description
Medium-fine, calcite marble with white matrix and dense, parallel, pale gray veining. Proconnesian.
Technique
Letters are thin and crisply cut and evenly set along lettering plane.

Preservation description
One small fragment of plaque, broken on all sides, preserves small part of two lines of Latin text. Faces remain smoothly polished but fractured edges are very worn. Left side sawn and snapped in secondary use. Slight, sparse abrasion and gouging on all surfaces. Patch of pinkish gray, medium-grained mortar adheres to back.
