Description
Figured bowl. Molded on lower to middle wall in low relief, raised band below: male figure striding right, right leg over left, with left arm bent at elbow and outstretched to hold indeterminate object below. Probably striding Eros or dancer motif.
Fabric, firing, surface
Fabric: 2.5YR 6/4, light reddish brown. Slip: 5YR 5/6, yellowish red. Somewhat soft, fine fabric with rare, very small white inclusions. Thin, uneven, somewhat dull slip, abraded in places. Perhaps Corinthian, but color and texture are unusual.
Preservation description
One small fragment preserves small part of figured frieze on wall. Slight abrasion; slight patches of encrustation.
