Description
Molded relief ware, long-petal bowl. Slipped all over. On wall exterior are independent long petals with raised centers and jeweling around entire petal. At bottom of rim zone is single line of jeweling. Fabric and pattern suggest a likely import but origin uncertain.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Fabric: 2.5YR 8/4, pink. Slip: 2.5YR 3/1, dark reddish gray. Hard, very fine fabric with rare, very small, black inclusions. Thick, even, semilustrous slip, flaky.
Preservation comment
One small fragment preserves small part of upper body. Slight abrasion; slight, sparse encrustation.
