The site of an Early Roman altar-tomb and a Late Roman-Early Byzantine church ca. 2 km north-northeast of the north mole of the harbor. The excavators in the 1960s designated the area “TA” for “Temple of Artemis,” their working identification of the remains when work began.
Comment
The site of an early imperial tomb built at a distance from the harbor itself. “TA” is short for “Temple of Artemis,” which was the working identification of the remains when work began.
