Description
Identifiers for records, other archival materials, and ongoing work related to the Chicago/Indiana/Vanderbilt Excavations at Kenchreai. Active fieldwork was conducted in 1963-1968, with preparation in 1962 and follow-up in 1969. The project was conducted under the auspices of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens, with the joint sponsorship of the University of Chicago and Indiana University, with Robert L. Scranton serving as the senior director. In 2011, the American School appointed Joseph L. Rife to study and publish the discoveries in the 1960s, with the sponsorship of Vanderbilt University.
