- Description
- Amphora. Rounded shoulder. Cylindrical neck, bulging slightly near rim. Loop handle, round to oval in sections, attaches at middle neck and shoulder. Rolled rim; pointed lip with concave inner face. Red dipinto in large letters on upper shoulder, alongside handle.
- Fabric, firing, and surface description
- Pinkish orange core, slightly more red toward surface (2 mm) and interior; consistently fired. Medium fine, somewhat hard; smooth break. Numerous tiny, well sorted, mixed bits, including red, black, gray, rarely white, and small flakes golden mica. Cf. Ke0679-P0185.
- Preservation comment
- Two joining sherds preserve roughly one half of upper amphora, including shoulder, handle, neck, and ca. 30% of rim. Surface in good condition but breaks slightly worn.
