Fabric, firing, and surface description
Typical Late Roman Corinthian “red“ fabric but unusually fine; variable firing across surface; unusually well smoothed exterior, in general sharp details and clean rendering.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds preserve back top and entire left shoulder, one large (Ke 570) and one small (Ke 1309), with ca. 60% of discus, back right shoulder, upper handle, and small part of nozzle. Slight, sparse abrasion and frequent scratching; slightly worn breaks; faint cloud of grayish discoloration.
