Description
Amphora. Red dipinto on upper wall or shoulder?
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pink with tinge of orange, more buff at exterior surface; consistently fired. Medium fine, medium hard; granular break. Uncommon, very small, well sorted, dark bits and more infrequent white; uncommon to common, very small, golden mica flakes. Variant of Kenchreai RC22? If so rather unrefined. Carefully smoothed exterior surface.
Preservation comment
One small sherd preserves part of upper(?) body. Slight, sparse abrasion with one large chip along margin; worn breaks; black speckling across outside surface.
