Large plate. High ring foot, slightly splayed, with somewhat angular bottom. Slight offset at inner joint between foot and bottom. Faint rouletting in two bands on outside face of foot. Wide, concave floor with straight walls; chamfer on floor over to just outside foot.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Slightly granular, orangish red fabric with few small, elongated and few angular, lime inclusions, some other very small light bits. Interior slip thick and somewhat smoothed; exterior slip is matte with some light turning bands.
Preservation comment
Two joining sherds (453+2421) preserve 75% of base and small part of lower wall. Slight, sparse abrasion across surface and chipping along edge, otherwise clean breaks; somewhat sparse, slight encrustation in large patches across most of floor but thick, irregular crust over part.
