Large bowl with slightly curving walls. Somewhat rounded upper, slightly rounded outer, and rounded to flat lower faces. Distinct groove on interior and faint groove on exterior mark articulation with wall.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Red fabric. Fine, hard; smooth break. Rare lime specks. Thin, unsmoothed slip with fine brush marks; turning scratches on exterior body; smoothing bands on interior. Classic LRC.
Preservation comment
Two nonjoining sherds (0739/2131) preserve 20% of rim and middle to upper body. Slight, sparse abrasion and chipping around edges; mostly clean breaks; sparse, thin patches of encrustation on 2131 and thick, extensive encrustation on 0739.
