2019/2020: mechanical cleaning and sherds refitted for study using UHU Hart.
Description
Very rounded shoulders on conical body that descends to much narrower base/toe. Broadly dated to the Late Hellenistic through Roman period.
Fabric, firing, and surface description
Pale brown, slightly coarse fabric with occasional small, angular, white calcareous inclusions and some other tiny bits. Smoothed surface carries thin wash that is more pale than fabric. Interior plain with turning ridges. One curvilinear, elongated void on interior of shoulder created by the impression of a short bit of vine or root. Possibly regional.
Preservation comment
Six sherds, five of which join, partially preserve rounded shoulder and upper part of conical body.
