- In Riley‘s classification of amphoras at Benghazi, this type is the equivalent of the Early to Middle Roman development of the micaceous water jar at the Athenian Agora from a more ovoid to a more fusiform or barrel-shaped form. Cf. Agora J 46-47/M 45/M 125-126.
