Description
Ring in electrum or gilded copper alloy with relief on bezel. Large, thin, oval bezel displays low relief of Leda reclining left on cushions or covers and the swan crouching over her to right, with head plunging downward and wings upraised. The detailed relief appears to have been stamped into soft metal from an engraved matrix, such as a sealstone. The reverse side is unadorned, and no trace of the at-tachment of the loop survives.
Preservation comment
Intact bezel but missing loop. Moderate corrosion.
