Material description
Fine- to medium-grained, calcite marble with gray matrix and thin, parallel, pale bluish veins. Proconnesian.
Technique
Letters are widely and shallowly cut. Spacing between letters and between lines is relatively regular.

Two joining fragments of rectangular plaque preserve most of five lines of Greek text, top margin, left margin, and part of lower margin. Slight, sparse abrasion with minor scoring.

Explanation of deposition
Displaced from Late Roman-Early Byzantine rock-cut cist grave on central slope. Tombstone originally posted over burial nearby, such as Grave 42.
