Globular amphora with loop handles, conical neck, and flaring rim. Workshops in different parts of the Aegean produced this amphora shape the Late Roman to Early Byzantine era, including active manufacturers in the southern Argolid. Predecessors in the development of the form are well documented, and it was succeeded by the Byzantine globular amphora. Kenchreai was a hub for the short- and long-distanct trade in regional commodities, especially olive oil, transported in LRA2s during Late Antiquity.
